Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 18 April 2025
1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of the Intan Tuah website and your enrolment in any programme offered by Intan Tuah ("we", "us", "our") at Jalan Telawi 27, 59100 Bangsar Baru, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. By submitting an enrolment enquiry or making a payment for a programme, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms.
We encourage you to read through this document carefully before proceeding. If any part is unclear, you are welcome to write to us at [email protected] or call us on +60 17-382 5946 before enrolling.
2. Nature of Our Programmes
Intan Tuah offers structured, self-paced finance education programmes for adult learners in Malaysia. Our programmes are educational in nature and are designed to support participants in building their financial understanding and confidence over time.
Nothing in our programme materials, sessions, or written correspondence constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or any regulated service under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 or any other Malaysian financial regulation. Where a licensed financial planner is involved in a programme (as in our Cultivating a Retirement Portfolio programme), their input is provided within the educational scope of that programme and does not constitute personal financial advice.
We encourage all participants to seek independent regulated advice before making investment or financial decisions.
3. Enrolment and Confirmation
An enrolment is considered confirmed only after we have received full payment and have sent you a written confirmation by email. We reserve the right to decline an enrolment where a programme is full or where we determine that the programme may not be suitable for the applicant's stated circumstances.
Programme intake dates are communicated at the time of enrolment confirmation. We aim to provide at least fourteen (14) days' notice of the programme start date.
4. Fees and Payment
Programme fees are as published on our website at the time of your enquiry. All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any materials listed in the programme description. Fees do not include any travel costs, external subscription services, or taxes unless expressly stated.
Payment is required in full prior to access being granted to programme materials. We accept payment by bank transfer. Payment details will be provided in your enrolment confirmation email.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 14 days before the programme start date: A full refund will be issued, less an administrative fee of RM 50.
- Between 7 and 14 days before the start date: A refund of 50% of the programme fee will be issued.
- Less than 7 days before the start date, or after the programme has begun: No refund is available. Where exceptional circumstances apply, we will consider deferral of enrolment to the next available intake at our discretion.
Refund requests should be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 working days.
In the event that Intan Tuah cancels a programme for any reason, participants will receive a full refund of all fees paid, or the option to defer to the next available intake.
6. Programme Changes
We reserve the right to adjust programme content, schedules, or facilitators where necessary. Where changes are material, we will notify enrolled participants by email as soon as reasonably practicable. Minor adjustments — such as updating case study documents to more current examples — may be made without prior notice.
7. Participant Responsibilities
Participants are expected to engage with programme materials in good faith and at a pace that suits their circumstances. While we encourage consistent engagement, we recognise that adult learners have varied schedules and commitments.
Participants agree not to share, reproduce, or distribute programme materials — including workbooks, session recordings, and reading guides — with individuals who are not enrolled in the programme. Programme materials are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
8. Intellectual Property
All programme materials, including written content, workbooks, reading guides, and any templates or frameworks developed by Intan Tuah, remain the intellectual property of Intan Tuah. Enrolment in a programme grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use those materials for the duration of the programme and for your own ongoing reference thereafter. No commercial use is permitted without our written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
Intan Tuah's liability to any participant is limited to the amount of programme fees paid by that participant. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in, or non-completion of, a programme — including any financial decisions made on the basis of programme content.
Our programmes are designed to support financial literacy. They are not a substitute for regulated financial advice, and we disclaim all liability for financial outcomes resulting from any decisions made independently by participants.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our programmes or applicable law. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of last revision shown at the top. Your continued enrolment in or use of our programmes following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
